| Sylvan Glen Children's Challenge ! THL Marija , THL Hrefna, and Lady Isabella are coordinating the contest this year. And Lord Jacque is taking care of point tracking.. ( Thanks to everyone involved for giving their time and energy to our children.) We have decided to have another children's contest this year. It is somewhat similar to last years but we are trying to be even more inclusive. They will get points for all of the various things listed below. WE also will be setting up special childrens projects and classes to help them earn their points! ______________________________ _________________________________________ Event Participation- This is for showing up at a SCA or Shire event and participating in some way (must be in Garb) Scrolls submitted- This is for having completed and submitted a scroll to the scriptorium for donation to the kingdoms. Practice Participation- This is for showing up at and participating in either a youth heavy, youth fencing, thrown weapons or Archery practice. A&S Projects Submitted- This is for having completed and submitted a project for an A&S competition, display or use. Classes Attended and actively participated in. Chivalrous Acts- * to know and act upon his own intuitive sense of inspiration to do the right thing, the wisdom to know the difference of Right and or Wrong which is an act of Chivalry * to show virtuous character * showing and or giving Love and Respect, as a sign of service for mankind� representing bravery, piety, honour, loyalty and sacrifice * keeping and doing their responsibilities and duties as self obligatory and necessary. Demo Participation- This is for attending a shire demonstration (in Garb) Acts of Service- This is for helping a member of the shire or society (this could be yard work or housework) above and beyond what is expected of you. (Garb not required) In addition extra points will be given for completing 5 hours or more of training in any individual line of study. And an extra five points if they complete 5 A&S entries during the year qualifying them to enter the Pentathalon at Ice Dragon. |
